These clips are from the BBC: Horizon documentary series entitled “We Love Cigarettes”. The advice Allen Carr gives is pretty damn good, it convinced me (a 5 year smoker) to quit cold turkey. It has been a couple months now and I’m still going strong. Update: It has been over one year since my last cigarette and I have never been tempted to look back. I really hope this simple advice has helped someone else.
How to quit smoking cigarettes by dissolving cravings and withdrawal. A self help method to stop smoking that really makes quitting possible.

I’ve been smoking for ten years and have been quitting now for the third time
It’s great to wake up without that little cigarette hangover.. as a smoker I always felt like I had a small pint of beer last night, a very, very subtle headache. That’s gone now.
Personally, I always started smoking again when serious problems in my life arose – fears of losing my job, a quitting girlfriend, paying some debt… these usual troubles one always will get into from time to time.
@MorockanMe I can’t understand a word you said because there is not one period and every word seems like the same one as before I smoked and quit again and again and again just like I said ok
i smoked 100 grams of white ox a week, the only way to give up is to just stop!!! replacement therapys only prolong the agony of withdrawls! it about stoppin the emotional compulsion to smoke. When trying to give up ;you may feel like life is about to end, but it NOT! the feelings will pass, just dont light up, each time you resist the easier it gets. Dont get me wrong i know how hard it is ive done it. but the results of not not quitting will be harder
actually the trick is to go to thetunify (dot) com to find this mp3.
This man is/was a genius. I smoked for 14 years and had never tried to quit. A friend that read his book and stopped smoking with it told me about it. I bought the book thinking it wouldn’t work, but $20 wouldn’t be so bad. One of the best decision of my life. I read the book and haven’t had a cigarette since. April 23, 2009 was the last time I smoked. If you want to stop smoking and don’t know how to, buy Mr. Carr’s book. Thank you Mr. Carr and may you RIP.
Allen’s book works. It’s my first day…surprisingly easy. I feel ”Hungry”, like there was something missing right now but it’s really almost unnoticeable and only once in awhile. Compared to my last attempts when i would be like an enraged animal at about this time even with nicorette or patches…IT REALLY IS ALL IN THE HEAD!! Anyone who says its hard…well wake up…it’s hard because you’re brainwashed, trust me!
looks like hes in heaven with the white suits and the music, and theres lawn bowling in the background. hahaa
@darkside97
It’s alla about understanding that the cigarette doesn’t give you ANYTHING and that you can live without it anyway.
After 5 days you won’t even think about the cigarette unless with authomatical thinking but it will give you the awereness that you already quitted
I’m finally a HAPPY NOT SMOKER after 20 years of intoxicating puffs
I Read his book 4 times but I still smoking, Might try again
This was amazing. I decided to quit smoking a few days ago and was feeling rather bad withdrawal. What was really cool is that the second i saw the demonstration with the poker chips, the craving melted away, and only dissipated more as I watched the whole video. I never thought of it that way before.
I’ve been using Champix now for 35 days now.. and I’ve not had a cigarette in 19 days.. I smoked for 10 years.. Champix is amazing..
So glad it’s helping me quit..
las
13 days and feeling great. Thank you, Allen Carr.

i’ve been a smoker for 25yrs i quit for exactly one year now, i feel great and im no longer a slave to these filthy cigarettes. Hes absolutely right, i read his book and it really takes three days of hell and suffering but after that it smooth sailing.The reason for me not ever take another puff is in reality it was soo dam hard in those three days when i stopped cold turkey that i will never want to experiece that again. After that intial hump your smooth sailing.
you’ll be amazed of everything that comes back to you senses, sexual drive, train of thought so much more energy its unbelievable
An hour from now it will be my 5 days of non smoking.
@NakedJack Also jack I wasnt comparing weed to heroin but Showing how your argument about pot could be used to promote heroin as well. Yet you wouldnt try heroin in order to judge it would you? So why should i have to try pot to judge it.
@NakedJack I think you removed your comments and its fine if you dont want to respond anymore. I dont think encouraging people to smoke is horrible because it leads to addiction. I think it leads to black market growing and that causes deaths (by gangs shooting other people) Weed is not that addictive although it causes disturbances in daily life more then sex (my friends were just driving high and drunk yesterday even though thye didnt have to if cops caught them it wasnt worth it)
did any one else think that the white botche ball was a sigg? lol
It worked for me. I Read his book ‘The Easy Way to Stop Smoking’ and shed a 34 year, 50+ a day addiction. Heading for 2 years free now. I just created a facebook group: Stop Smoking Salon. All welcome. Am posting the link to this excellent clip there. Thanks ollys for sharing it.
@highnote32 Hi. Read the book , read it twice if youre feel unsure! And then will come the miracle that you start to understood the useless cigarettes. And even if youll have desire to smoke youll ask youre self “what a heck I am doing I don’t need them ! ” Try the book, I started at age of 12, I dropped it in age of 20, before the EasyWay I also was sceptic about dropping.
@phantomspellchecker lol it obviously isn’t easy if you’ve done it hundreds of times……..
@TheChicarusa what the hell is written here?
lol i went on holiday for 2 months with my parrents without smoking, (i have been smoking 2 years before the holiday). after the first week of holiday i had no urge to smoke, however i chose to start again because of many reasons, not because i was “adicted” to it.
After some years without smoking I know – only very, very, very desire is may to help.
Then means for refusal of smoking and conditions will come suitable for individuality.
Everyone – different. I had a long preparation and the instant termination. It is a feat, but I am free some years already.
you miss out one i felt “tiredness” if without smoke, that is the very differecuitive for me……..
Curveball is absolutely correct, the physical addiction can be broken, in just 72 hours, and that’s a medical fact. The mental addiction is what gives smokers such a hard time quitting. I’d really suggest using hypnosis. It worked for me and my two sisters.
A couple of days ago i smoked one pack a day. Now it’s been about 77 hours without a single cigarette!
My concentration has fallen, i crawe here & there for a cigarette so much..i feel i would be released of this..this..feeling…i can’t breathe when i sleep to much air in my head and longs…i hate the g’dam cigarettes! look what they did to us. I’m never gonna smoke again… my body and spirit are now in JAIL!! but maybe, … man i just love the way nicotine is messing with your mind
@phantomspellchecker lmao me too
@phantomspellchecker if it’s so easy why did you need to try hundreds of times and still not quit smoking
@Y3K147MAZI
So am I ! LOL !

i am smoking nw while i am watching this at the same time,lol!
Youtube: Terrell Crews and view his channel tonight to see “The S.o.A. Show” airing @ 6. It’s Goin Down!!!
not working funny
Just read Allen Carr’s Easyway with an open mind.
Then you’ll be free of the nicotine trap!
@phantomspellchecker so then i guess you strted a hundreds times to?
I recommend this tip: Slow down the number you smoke a day (3 days to 4 days) and try to get embrace withdrawel (as this video has pointed out). Remember, addiction will ALWAYS be annoying but if you cut it off slowly it will dissapate. Excersize as you cut your dosage. I used tiny bits of Redman Chew ( i hate chew ) to slow down and break my physical addiction to nicotine. I am now 4 weeks finished with nicotine (6 weeks finished smoking) and i FEEL GREAT. I’ll never go back.
@phantomspellchecker i dont get it, that means u started smoking 100 times again or do u mean u stopped for some hours?
Quitting smoking is really hard. You’ve gotta have a lot of patience. One tip is to try to take one step at a time: challenge yourself 3 days of no smoking, and half the battle is won. I was a heavy smoker till I came upon this miracle cure. Youtube wont let me post the link here but if you really want to know, its in the website on my profile.
@DanielitaBaby13 – if ur only 14 and claim your addicted to cigarettes, go and tell your dad to take off from work and stay at home. and then you give him a stick and ask him to wack the shit out of you. That should help you Im sure!
